Pranam Swamiji.. What is the significance of astrology in life. Why are even educated people so much behind it. Does the so called pariharams all make any sense? Is there any reference to astrology and its significance in vedas, upanishads or any puranam where in, it has been mentioned one has to see astrology and jathakam to know what he is going to become, whom he should marry, when can he go abroad etc.

Dear Ranjith,
Astrology is a science of planets and their connection and influence in our life.
It is an absolutely mathematical calculation by which one can discover his past and future.
When high tide comes in the ocean it has an influence and impact in our life, that means your blood circulation increases and also bleeding goes up.
But please understand that the planets can never influence you mind.
If your mind is strong, there astrology fails.
Those who are more anxious about their future are attracted to astrology, but those who are focusing their attention on developing a strong & steady mind are not at all worried about their future, for them whatever comes is the Prasadam of the Lord.
They are always strong!
