Dear swamiji, what is the importance of para devatha(family deity) and grama devatha(village deity).

Dear Sarath Kumar,
In good old days, people were so much engrossed with agricultural activities.
They could not move from their homes for worshipping and giving offerings.
For that our ancestors discovered the concept of family deity.
At least at home they could worship God and connect their mind with the Lord.
Then for the social get togethers and exchange of friendship and culture the village Deity was established.
The village people can gather there and they can feel that they are all united, guided and blessed by the same Divinity.
