Dear Swamiji, i have startes reading Bhagavatham and completed 4th skandam… My issue is, i have health issues related yo my neck since childhood and so cannot read while sitting with legs crossed and looking down continuously.. I keep changing my reading position and sometimes even half lying on bed.I am helpless because of neck pain… But, is reading like that disrespectful or sin?I feel very bad thinking whether i am doing something grave wrong… Please guide me swamiji

Hari Ohm. Sree VedaVyasa never insisted us to read Bhagavatham sitting in a particular posture.These are all concepts and believes which society followed. Never worry about your posture but focus on your concentration,involvement and your love for Bhagavatham. In 10 th Skandha Sree Vedha Vyasa says that Gopees of Vrindavan never followed any rules laid down by ancestors for worshiping Krishna, they never bothered about their physical purity or postures.They loved Krishna intensely and they could forget everything ,immersed in the memory of Krishna always. Similarly never bother about your methodology of reading . Love and dwell on Bhagavatham because God is about the mind and not the body
