Hari Om and my humble prostrations at Your Lotus Feet, Swamiji. From young, I’ve been taught to always pray when I pass by or attend a funeral or come in contact with a sick person, I’ve been told to recite trayambagam and pray for the departed soul and my fellow human beings sufferings. I’m presently feeling confused since I’ve heard from Your preachings that the Jivatma goes on its destined path based on its karmas until it becomes evolved and merges with the Paramatma. If so, does our prayers make any difference in easing the sufferings of others or the onward peace of the departed souls? Or who am I to pray for another when I trust the Paramatma to take care of everything. If my understanding of Your teachings is incorrect, pls excuse me and and would be grateful if You could explain. ThankYou.
