Respected Swamiji,1. What is the relation between prana and breath/svasa ?During dhyanam session in pranayama practice, when we breathe in, is prana coming in and when we breathe out, is prana going out ?2. During omkara mantram, I don’t have a conscious experience of prana rising towards head from lower abdomen. Right know it is only a knowledge. Does the experience come with practice ?Also, when we chant omkaram, we are exhaling and prana is supposed to rise up. So what’s the relation between breath and prana. During pranayama practice, prana was coming in during inhalation and going out during exhalation. Is my knowledge correct ?3. One form of pranayama is taught during Swamiji’s dhyanam session. Should I practice other forms of pranayama also (eg: naadi Shuddhi pranayama ). Kindly forgive my ignorance.

Hari Ohm. Prana is a more subtle energy than the breath. When a child is born before the child takes the breath ,prana was actively vibrating in the body. That shows prana exist before breath. Prana has two flow in our body ,one is down wards and the other upwards. When the prana moves upwards our brain, thoughts become very active and bright. So the purpose of doing pranayama to make oneself very energetic, dynamic and powerful. Then long recitation of Ohm help this dynamic mind to develop high concentration and focus. With that one can focus on activities of life more actively and creatively eventually leading to success. Please continue your sadhana ,you will get answers from your own conviction and experience
