Hari Om Swamiji , Wishing you good health and spirit this new year 2021!! We are offering Bali to our ancestors / departed soils as a respect to them / to remember them at least in an year . One of my relative – she is 70years old – recently told me that she do not want any Bali or rituals from her kids after her death . Now she has lot of free time and used to hear U Tube videos and her thinking has changed a lot now a days . She do not believe in after death rituals according to her these are all wastage of time and energy . Kindly advise me on this to enlighten her too on this . Kodi Pranamam!! Radha

hari Ohm. Please understand that it is difficult to convince certain people something you think right. Instead of spending your time on enlightening someone it is better for you to do what you have conviction and clarity. Otherwise you would be worried over their ideologies.Regarding after death rituals one has to offer the bali with great reverence to the departed. Doing the ritual without bhava will be a sheer waste. So we should not insist anyone to do or make them believe .i am requesting you not to worry about someone who doe not believe in rituals
