Pranam Swamiji, we used to believe that after death people may get liberation or get another birth..If so then why we are giving Bali for them every year after their death?

Hari Ohm. In our scriptures it is said that when our m9ind connect with the departed souls through obeisance (ritual),the mind which is departed will guide us to the right path at the appropriate time. You can observe that the ideas you needed and help you got may not be just because of your intelligence alone. All mind are interconnected but when you connect with the departed soul with respect and homage ,those minds will help you whenever you badly need.So the rituals like bali are done for your own sake rather than the soul which is departed.
