Pranam Swamiji.. I am 19 years old.. As u told before, now I used to get up at 5.00 and do meditation, read bhagawad Geetha and also Vishnu sahasranamam… while doing my mind is getting too much distracted, but still I try very much….. but it is very much helpful..Thankyou so much Swamiji… I could overcome my stress and negative thinkings. I regularly hear your bhagavatham videos.. I have a doubt – is mind and soul the same? and some people used to say we should not stop chanting bhagavatham or Vishnu sahasranamam in between, but sometimes such situation may arise. could u say the reason please…

Hari Ohm . I appreciate your saadana and interest in spiritual pursuit at young age. The distractions which you are going through are being faced by every sadhaka including me. These distractions are the part of cleaning the mind. When positive thoughts dominate the negative thoughts accumulated in the subconscious mind will move out. Trust me, it will be settled if you are firm in your practice. Until the mind become naturally peaceful the real soul,(pure consciousness, awareness) looks far away from us. But the more the mind gets purified the more closer we get to the awareness. The soul get cleansed only when you move closer to the awareness.
There is no such rules and regulations while chanting or reading. Such questions are coming because there is fear still in your mind. When true devotion comes you will be focussing on how much you enjoyed calmness while chanting
