But based on the surface it happens to flow it becomes pure ,muddy or dirty . thus the quality of rain water is defined by the surface on which it falls.When a poisonous snake drinks it, the water turns poison,but when the same water drop falls on a seashell it becomes a beautiful pearl.In the same way if our mind is associated selfish egoistic and arrogant type of people we also tend to be like them. See small babies ,they are pure and perfect by themselves but when they grow up they get associated with all types of people and their mind also get polluted.That is why it is said that we should be very careful while associating with them.
