Hari Om, What does going within mean? (i) Is it increasing prana shakthi by nama japa and /or (ii) is it connecting to the consciousness (which does not change with time) by replacing your thoughts that are not serving your present (negative or bothering thoughts of past or future) . Thank you Swamiji

Hari Ohm. This term going within means self observation where we are training ourselves to watch and read our on mind. Once we are able to catch the mind next is sublimation.
Sublimation means training the mind to focus on one thought so that entire conscious energy will be channelized into one thought. It may take some time because the mind when trying to focus on one thought through namajapam the mind react badly as it has developed a nature of anxiety ,reactions, restlessness etc. So it dissipate the whole energy that is why we feel exhaustion, tiredness and dissatisfaction. Once the sadhana is strong one sankalpa you plant in your day to day life, will get accomplished due to the focusing power of the mind.
