This question in the present scenario especially is very important. All are getting affected by the reactions and actions of the present surroundings. We all think we are very wise and strong but when challenging situations come we realize we are otherwise, finding it extremely difficult to handle the situation. Our emotions over take us and interferes with the stability of our mind. Emotions become commotions and commotions become frustrations and make us over react. So how to stabilize the Mind? First we should understand that we have two minds, one is the conscious mind and the other is the subconscious mind. All the negative reactions are happening because our conscious mind is corrupted by the subconscious mind. Now we should understand that we all have the freedom either to react with our subconscious mind or respond with the conscious mind. So when you know your subconscious and conscious minds influence and interfere then it is very easy to handle the situation. Conscious mind though looks very powerful, but when situations come the conscious mind gets very upset. Immediately the subconscious mind over takes the conscious mind. So the conscious mind should not loose its temper. This happens only when one consciously practices some sadhana. We should hold on to some positive thoughts and we should remind our some positive thoughts and we should remember this constantly, whatever be the situation. I should not yield to any other thoughts other than the positive thoughts that I hold. Positive thoughts like – keeping the mind cool and relaxed. So some positive thoughts if we hold on, for Eg: keeping the mind very calm. Keeping this thought continuously in the mind you will notice that the person who disturbs us becomes more disturbed because of your patience and positiveness. Others are able to influence us because we are weak. If you are strong others cannot penetrate into our mind. So this is a game between the subconscious and conscious mind. Let us make our conscious mind stronger than the subconscious mind. We may think that our conscious mind is very strong, but have to understand we are not. We have to practice it and develop it constantly. All sadhanas are done to make our conscious mind very strong. Once you start practicing you will start realizing which mind is interfering and interacting with your life.
