Dear Balakrishnanji,
We say examples to explain difficult THATHWAM!
If you think deeply, the water in the OCEAN gets evaporated in the presence of SUN (means, heat) and forms clouds.
These clouds shower water on the mountains, form rivers and these rivers finally merge into the Ocean!
So, the RIVER originates from the OCEAN and reunites there!
