Deepavali was celebrated as the festival of lights on the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after killing Ravana.
This light symbolizes the “inner light” or Atma Jyoyhi.
The celebration of this inner light outshines all darkness of ignorance, awakening the individual to one’s true nature, not as the body, but as the unchanging, infinite SELF!
