Respected Swamiji, I was happy to hear your announcement in today’s (04/12/10)Asianet discourse, that you have asked the next Gandhi Jayanti day, Oct. 2, 2011, to be observed as Gita Day and everyone should distribute at least one Gita book to someone that day to spread Gita around. this is a very laudable call and I am sure it will receive the widest appeal. I had occasion to read Sr Sri Paramahansa yoganandaji’s Bhagavad Tita, God Talks with Arjuna, Royal Science of God-Realisation a few yaears back. I understood the reeal meaning of Gita from it – passing from Karma Yoga to Bakhti Yoga, to Ashatanga Yoga and finally to Jnana Yoga becoming one with God. I liked and benefited from this exposition so much that I distributed about ten copies of The Gita to various people and those who received and read and understood it also greatly benefitted frfom it.
