greetings Swamiji !! i have a very basic question, I have seen many people including a very close friend of mine who do not believe in the presence of god or any divine force. They don’t like visiting temples, chanting or any such spiritual activities. As a matter of fact, they don’t even light a lamp to feel god’s presence. But the irony is,that these people are highly successful in their corporate careers, they earn well, they are always relaxed and seem happy all the time. How is this possible?? Don’t they feel any mental weakness at all? How can you explain this attitude and character of their’s? kindly clarify regards, sudeep

Dear Sudeep,
I appreciate your observation. Please understand, it is not the rituals that make your mind happy.
A person with a positive attitude, inspiration to work and skill to make others happy, strength to accept the results, whether positive or negative, such a person need not go to the temple, because he/she has already achieved these qualities without going to the temple.
Please understand that going to the temple is not merely to pray, but to develop positive qualities by taking a positive pledge that ‘I will live an enthusiastic life and will make others happy and will face the challenges by considering them as God’s prasad.
So learn from your friends and adopt the positive qualities. It will do wonders in your life.
Hari Om!
