IF thoughts are the manisfestation of the Conciousness, is this true only when the mind is devoid of any negative emotions etc, so that it is the conciousness that is reflected and not the ego thoughts based on our likes and dislikes , again depending on where we live and what we are exposed to . The ego based likes and dislikes changes all the time and hence the mind changes its thoughts all the time. But the Conciousness or the Atman is that which does not change or it is the Truth Always, isn’t it? So, in our every day living, kindly let me know the techniques needed to purify the mind so that the thoughts that comes out of that person becomeds the reflection of the Conciousness. Is Bakthi/total surrender the only way ??

Hari Om,
Dear Mira, mind gets purified only through your sincere involvement in action, interaction and devotion. If the mind involves 100% there the mind lives in the present. Then the person is free from the clutches of imperfection of past and worries of future.
