Dear Madhu,
There is nothing wrong in doing puja and usage of OM by any caste, including women.
Anyone can do puja according to the 11th canto, 27th chapter of Bhagavatam.
However, if you are not able to tune to the Supreme in you, that kind of puja will not have any effect on you.
