Dear Swamiji, I have finished grade 12 and now I’m going for medical entrance coaching. My mother told me that she will commit suicide if I didn’t get rank within 1 to 1000. I’m very scared and I don’t feel like studying. My mother always curses me saying that I will not reach anywhere however hard I try. She always scolds, insults and teases me, which make me so much disappointed. How can I respect such a mother? How can I see her above god ? There is no one in this world who understands me. I feel so lonely. No one to share my problems with. I have no passion about what I’m doing . I actually like to be an engineer but my parents wanted me to be a doctor. I’m not interested in anything. I feel so bored. How can I get rid of all this? Please help!!!

I appreciate your boldness and also request you to introspect about your name.
You got such a wonderful name “athulya” which means “one can not be compared”, that means, you are having immense power and potentials.
Unfortunately those are hidden. If you practise meditation you can develop it and discover your aptitude, passion in your subject and choose your degrees accordingly.
Tell your mother, “take life as it is, how you accepted me when I was in your womb?”.
