Dear Anu,
Vasthu means Vasthupurusha. It is considered to be a living being. Like we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, your house also breathe good and bad air. Therefore it insists on cross ventilation so that there won”t be any stale air inside your house. According to the rotation of the Earth, the position of the rooms, windows, doors, kitchen and bathrooms should follow the Earth movements. Otherwise, there is a chance for some uneasiness.
