Swamiji, are memories the characteristics of mind or body? If it is of mind, then why don’t we remember anything from our previous births?

Dear Anu,
Memory or “Chittha” is a function of the mind.
When we can not remember the previous day’s events, how can we remember the previous birth?
But, the strongest impressions in the past lives are engraved into our mind as Vasanas!
(Great Yogis and Jnanis have such Siddhis!)
HariOm!
