Dear Swamy, Hope you are doing well and of course being busy helping people back in the Ashram. I am writing this just to get an explanation of what is Dharma. My son is in Scout and in the US he would earn a religious badge. Can you give a good explanation of “Dharma”, so that it is easy for him to grasp the meaning? I hope to visit the Ashram and to see you next year. We already met in NewYork in July with my husband and two boys. Hope you remember us. Thank you Latha Nair

‘Dharma” means “to hold that which unites every one”.
Human mind has the choice or freedom to hold good and bad behavior or character.
Smile, joy, happiness, love, respect and attitude of helping etc. are good values to hold which unite the mind. Unhappiness, complaining nature, selfishness and anger etc. will disperse the relationship. Ask him what he wants to hold?
As he holds the material things let the mind hold positive values that alone can unite human mind and gives happiness.
