Swamiji, My aunt is not married ,lives alone and is devotee of Guruvayoorappan..She stayed very near to the temple so that she could visit the temple everyday by getting up early. She did nama japa ,read spiritual books for many years but for the past two years she has been diagnosed with depression ,anger and health issues. No one is ready to take care of herself due to this stage. My question is by doing all these meditation , nama japam etc.. why is that she reached such a stage after doing everything that has been prescribed in upanishad…All scriptures say we must pray in a quiet place , try not getting attached to family , friends etc… My family losing the trust in prayers.. Can you give us a remedy

Understand, most of the so called devotees are blind believers in God.
Unless one understands the science of spirituality they will never improve in spite of their regular temple visit and Japam. People are blind, this blindness will go only through satsang (a true study of Scriptures through a true master). Our mind has two parts one is old (which carries from life to life and other part is new which we created in this life).
If our Sadhana is not sincere it will not change the old behavior into a positive character.
Unfortunately they never realize their efforts are all waste.
