Dear Karthika Prathap,
For awakening our spiritual energy, we require temples to start with. Once you are able to concentrate on the higher spiritual truth, you need not go to any temple. Bhagavath Geetha says, our body is the temple and the Chathanyam is the Lord who resides in the temple. Study Bhagavath Geetha Chapter 13.
