Namaste Swamiji, i am working for a foreign firm. I had a fear of loosing my job since last few years due to recession problem everywhere most of the staff lost their jobs. The existing staff did not get any increments too. I my case they gave me a different post as business contingency manager without any increment… Since last two months i am dealing with this new post. What to say it is so tough and difficult for me to go ahead with this nature of work. Swamiji, I am loosing my self confidence. I feel ashamed of myself because i am not able to perform well. If I quit this job my family will suffer. My background is also not so strong. I have never read bhagavad gita or bhagavatham in my life… But I believe in God. Swamiji, How should i tackle with this problem.. and how to gain self confidence? Please help me…. i am desperate… Om Namo Narayana.

Dear Anil,
Do not imagine that every one”s life is smooth. Now at least you have a job. And it is upto you to work sincerely and prove your worth. Do Pranayam and chant Vishnu Sahasra Namam regularly and give auto suggestion to your mind that “God is great and HE has given me a job. There are lots of people who do not have a job. I love this work and it is so easy for me”. Develop an attitude of gratitude and decide that you will not complain. Remember, gratitude brings abundance. When you complaint and degrade yourself, you will develop hatred towards your job. So it is not the job but the negative attitude towards the job that creates all the problems. Remember all the great people either in the field of science, technology, or politics were once upon a time mere laymen in their fields. They had faith, confidence and patience to wait and see the development. So you too should have faith and patience. Remember this too will pass and your tomorrow”s success depends on your today”s performance. Trust God is waiting for you to give a great responsibility in the future.
