i sometimes feel that christianity as a group (the church) is not allowing or promoting the spiritual growth of its subjects. the authorities urge followers to stick together as a group for social benefit rater than the spritual growth. the average spiritual life of a christian is static. they dont go forward any further than they were earler. is it a genuine observation ? what do you feel about this.

Dear Shibu,
God has blessed human life with “freedom of thinking”; so, gather knowledge and grow in knowledge.
Unfortunately in Christianity and Islam the so called unintelligent “God fearing priests” create fear in the minds of followers too.
They try to bind their minds in the illogical interpretations of the statements of their Holy Texts.
As far as Hindus are concerned, they don’t have any particular text because here each one’s experience is the true text.
To verify our experience with the experience of others we use the text as a guide.
Hence in India there are lot of texts by different masters and their essence is one but the approach is different.
