Dear Geethaji,
By Dependence, what I mean is the mental dependence, not physical dependence.
No one can live in this world without physical dependence as we all accept service from many people for various things.
We are eating food that is the result of toil from farmers, brought to us by transporters, sold by merchants.
We wear clothes produced and designed by others.
And what not?
But, we have to understand that all these are possible only by the Presence of that OMNIPRESENT DOER, the Lord alone.
HE comes to us in the forms of all who support us – whether it is children or neighbors or even strangers!
If the dependence is on others, what if they do not (or unable to) come for help? You may be helped by totally unexpected people.
So, we have to direct our mental dependence or SURRENDER to HIM only.
That is wisdom.
HariOm!
