Dear Swamiji I read Bhagavatham explanation cited in this site. I am very happy to read the much awaited text form of Bhagavathamrutham. My doubts are 1. why Viragyam is called engagement of the mind and why Yagam is called sacrifice? thank you, Lekha

Dear Lekhaji,
Yagam is not a sacrifice of animals or any thing in that kind.
It is the inner sacrifice of one’s own selfishness, that is called Mriga budhi.
Unfortunately the ignorant priesthood misunderstood this and they propagated Mriga Bali.
By sharing and accepting whatever happens as God’s Prasadam is the way to sacrifice our own selfish mind.
