HariOm The Bhagvad Gita states that the fourth stage of life is ‘sannyasa’ which leads to spiritual realisation and liberates the soul from material bonage. It exemplifies Lord Caitanya who took sannyasa at the age of 24 leaving behind his wife and child. My questions is :- Is it the right path undertake sannyasa in the case of Lord Caitanya though it was for a higher cause? and also since it states that Sannyasa is the fourth stage of life? Thankyou.

Dear Sreedevi,
Sanyasa never means leaving all your relationship (read 6th chapter, 1st sloka of Gita).
There Krishna empathizes that leaving mental attachment is real Sanyasa.
Then one question will arise “why Swami, you left your family?”.
Yes, if one wants to serve then he has to spend more time on his/her mission.
For that, we have to sacrifice the comfort of a home(like a mother has to leave her home if she works for earnings).
That is needed when you want to give “quality and quantity” time for your mission.
So, Sanyasa is a mental state of detachment, not physical renunciation.
