Dear Anirudhji,
Lust is love in the lowest level, that is, love for another’s body (good physical qualities) for giving pleasure to your own body.
When that pleasure is got, at least for some time that love vanishes.
Then a higher love is there, that is, love for another’s mind (good mental qualities) to give pleasure to your own mind.
This will last longer, but as qualities or minds change, this will also change.
The highest is the love for the Lord or your own Self. This gives immense pleasure or eternal joy.
It is Independent love and a person filled with this love will radiate that light and fragrance wherever he/he is.
So, to get out of lust or physical love, one has to replace it by growing to the higher levels.
You have to identify the sources of attraction and divert your attention away from them.
Sadhana, Satsang, Bhajans, Sathwik food and good books will help you in this.
