Those who are in the modes of passion and ignorance worship the forefathers, other living beings and the demigods who are in charge of cosmic activities, for they are urged by a desire to be materially benefited with women, wealth, power and progeny. This i had read in The Bhagavatam and i would like to know what this means and are we not supposed to follow our prescribed rituals. Kindly explain Dear Swamiji

Dear Ramesh,
We came here because we have not yet reached the true destination (merging withthe Chaithanyam). Your body evolved out of nature, but your mind had evolved out of Chathanyam. One day your body will invariably go back to nature. Before that you have to uplift and submit your mind to the Chaithanyam. We should unite our culture and spiritual life. Without the spiritual understanding, following any customs in the name of rituals is meaningless.
