pranam swamiji, swami vamana is 5th avatar of lord vishnu in puranas it is telling that vamana pushed down mahabali to pathala thats behind the festival onam but parasurama th 8th avatara of vishnu crreated kerala so some misunderstaning is there so pls clear my doubt and mail me my christian frnd askd me that i dnt have a answer to reply that so pls help me….

Please understand what is said in the Bhagavatham, unfortunately we never find time to read Bhagavtham.
Hence we keep on carrying our foolish understanding about this story.
In the Bhagavatham it is never said that Mahabali ruled over Kerala nor he was sent to Pathalam.
Read, you will get more clarity on this subject from Bhagavatham.
