Dear Dhanyaji,
It is all stories propagated. In Bhagavatham, Vedavyasji the author never told this.
However it is import and because Lord Krishna emphasizes the quality of a real devotee in this chapter.
Lord krishna says, “any devotee who expectS something from God thinking that God is different and offering some thing to get some thing in return, such devotees are not true ones, but hypocrites”.
(refer Bhagavatham 10th canto, 54th slokam).
