Respected Swamiji, The suttle meaning of the various mythical stories – “sukshartham” is brought out beautifully in your discourses, of which I am a regular viewer (Asianet, early morning). It has inculcated in me a habit to introspect on the various stories/incidents which are metioned in the Bhagvatham. As I could gather the “Devas” are the guardians of our various senses and symbolise the thoughts for preserving what we have. The “Asuras” on the other hand represent the thoughts which force us to acquire possessions of others. Please guide as to whether this is a correct intrepretation. Also who or what does “Indra” represent? Is it our mind? Namaskarams and Pranams Narayan

Asuras are the ones who accumulate for themselves.
