Dear Ambika,
When you argue, you are trying to protect your ego without understanding the other person’s view.
It is a sudden explosive reaction.
Arguments increase the distance between people while decreasing the harmony among them.
An egoistic mind enjoys winning an argument, but they do not realize that they are losing the love, respect and understanding. So, one has to practise the way of explaining his/her view after listening to the other person’s opinions with patience.
When they know that we are honouring their opinions, they will also try to understand our’s.
So “first listen carefully and then reply” is the best way to avoid arguments.
HariOm!
