Dear Swamiji, I am raising a doubt with the request that you would answer the same. My doubt is related to Jeevatma/mind & Paramatma even though I have gone through your previous answer sessions. As I understood it, when we are in a waking state, our mind (Jeevatma) is manifested out of our ‘Self’ which is also called Paramatma /GOD and which is conceived to be the basis of everything manifested or unmanifested in this universe?. When we are in deep sleep free from all dreams (.i.e, when we are immersed in sushupti), there is no mind and therefore we will have no consciousness / perception about our existence and the world around us. In the sushupti state, it is learnt that we (our mind) have been merged into our Self / Paramatma and therefore this state is being called a blissful one as we are no longer subject to happiness and worries as we feel in a waking state where the mind with vasanas exist / dominate. A true bhakta/devotee of Lord tries to achieve such a union /state with Paramatma while one is in the waking state itself, though it is not so easy to have such a blissful state when one’s mind is out of control having filled with numerous vasanas. Having said that, my doubt is that, finally when one dies, where does our mind go at first with all accumulated vasanas? Whether our mind would move towards Paramatma itself since our mind is projected out of Paramatma or would it merge into Paramatma as it happened in sushupti state seeing that no Jeevatma can exist without Paramatma? Is it right to say that when one dies, the essence of Paramatma leaves out of our physical body along with Jeevatma so that it can take another birth to fulfill its remaining unfinished vasanas? Or is it like that our mind (jeevatma) alone moves out of our physical body at the time of death? When one liberates oneself from all accumulated vasanas / desires through appropriate means , our mind would have no need to undergo another birth , i.e., when our mind permanently merge into Paramatma for good?
