Hi Swamiji, Iam a working woman in a reputed IT company , I dont have much time to go to temple or read shlokas but i do pray daily when i go to sleep, but my mother is very orthodox so she feels this praying is not enough for me and forces me to do many things like fasting , poojas etc for which i dont get time ,Sumtimes i feel guilty about this tht i am not able to do these things. Am i doing anything wrong ? What should i do to overcome this?

Dear Aiswaryaji,
Worship is not a an action but deep involvement of the mind in the action one does. Unfortunately our elders are too much obsessive, getting lost in various rituals and they do it mechanically. If mind is not tuned and dissolved in prayers and rituals they are mere physical exercises. So do Pranayam and chant very long ‘AUM’ and dissolve your mind into that, you can see fast transformation in yourself.
