Dear Swamiji, I am practicing deep breathing exercises and meditation regularly. While doing both breathing exercises and meditation, my mind is still not coming to a point instead wavering. I am very much worried. Because my memory power is very poor, and I am very slow in doing things either in my office or at home. I am committing mistakes because of my poor memory. Sometimes in office I am literally in tears when I commit mistakes. I am answerable to my higher officials in Mumbai Head office. I know it is possible through breathing exercises and meditation. But why that is not possible for me. I am sheding tears and writing this letter to you. I am 42 years old. Is the age a problem that I cannot do breathing exercises and meditation. In Today’s discourse in Asianet you told that all these practices, if start at the younger age , will find very easy and very difficult at the later stage. I have not practiced breathing exercises and meditation at my younger age. But now I am not able to do it. Please help me Swamiji.

Dear Sangeethaji,
It is not difficult to transform a weak mind into a strong mind. Think about the story of ‘Ratnakara’, where an uneducated man became such a wise ‘Vatmiki’.
What you lack is commitment and determination. Do one thing, eat food without chilly, onion and sugar.
If you practise for one week, mind will learn that it can’t make you weak all the time.
Then get up early in the morning and practise very ‘long AUM’ chanting about 20 times.
Within a short time you can see progress in your positive mind, confidence and mental strength.
Do not underestimate yourself, move ahead with confidence,
HariOm!
