Last week on the pradosam day, I visited a temple in Matunga and saw the priest doing abishekam on the lingam with buckets full of milk,panchabisekam and then they collected the same in a bucket and through the same at the drainage outlet in the temple premises. Please explain the significance of this ritual ?

Dear Narayanji,
If our country is in shortage of milk, will they spoil this much milk?
These are meaningless rituals, because they waste valuable natural resources out of ignorance and arrogance of prosperity.
The Lord never said to pour one bucket of milk on the idol.
So, understand, the milk represents our mind and the “Dhara” is the constant flow of thoughts offered to the Lord.
