Pranam swamiji; I couldn’t understand why the Deva’s got suffocated because of Dhruva’s meditation; could you please explain it . As for your message; i must say that it is inspiring to read the pages in bhagvatham; specially the notes which give the actual meaning. Swamiji; this work of your’s is a divine gift from you for people who can read only english. the explanations that is provided not only enriches our mind; but also inspires us to hold on steadily to the path. Dear Saj,
The philosophy is, Deva does not means any external God, it is your own memories of good things which you have done or wants to get done or wants to achieve.
This desire will never allow you to focus on God. The mind which thinks to do good things is called dyvika manas or sampath (accoring to 16th chapter of Geeta), it will become an obstruct once you focus on the Truth. These things will be obstructing one’s progress during his meditation.
So Dhruva, by a determinated and dedicated mind wins over it.
