Dear Vino,
When you look at every thing from a story point of view, there will be lot of doubts and justifications arising. But if you understand these characters are symbolization of your own different levels of consciousness, the differences disappear and Truth is revealed.
Understand, Krishna is your own conscious intelligence and Pandavas are positive minds which want to win the negative minds called Kauravas.
So, the Mahabharatham war field is within you.
