Dear Swamiji, Thanks a lot for your answer. Earlier, i used to recite Vishnu Sahasranamam, Lalitha Sahasranamam, Ganesha Ashtotharam, Narayana Kavacham etc. To be honest, i was not getting my mind completely in to it, so i stopped reciting it slowly thinking about the meaninglessness. As you said in the discourse, when we are not able to surrender in to the essence completely, i feel, i am no different from a parrot. As in the recent Gita session, even Lord Krishna says not to follow him, but to thrive to achieve his state of balanced mind. Can you please let me know the significance of chanting the Sahasranamam or similar Sthothrams in this context when the Lord himself is asking us to seek God within ourselves. I am in my thirties and what i see around is the blind Bhakthi where people refuse to use their wisdom in analysing the meaning of many of the wrong rituals which they practice in their daily life. Most of the time, we are forced to accept the dead conventions which are being followed in our surrounding only not to hurt anybody’s feelings.Your discourse has finally given me the courage to feel that, i was not wrong in my thoughts, though i am an infant with infinite knowledge to explore ahead.People at my age group are in need of a Guru like you to show us the light in the right direction, otherwise, we also will be forced to follow the herd, without knowing what is the ultimate truth.I came to know about the significance of meditation and connecting oneself to the paramatma only after attending your discourse. With this, we can guide our kids also to the right bhakti as you quoted the Janakan’s story from Bhagavatham. But we need to know more and more about the true way of living in the way you explain which only will help us realise our wrong thought process. Hari Om!
