Dear Latha,
In a Siva temple or Devi temple which is the main deity?
Temple laws govern the installation of deities.
Lord Krishna represents the Supreme Consciousness in every one.
You can call Him by Ayyappa or Siva too.
Stories depict comparisons and differences. God is beyond all such dualities.
Hariom!
