I feel like i am sacrificing myself a lot to please people.By sacrifice i mean any kind of sacrifice like sacrificing your values or sacrificing your self esteem or just simple things like your desire to look good and feel good because your best friend might feel jealous or sacrificing the special talents you have inside of you because you feel people close to you wont accept you that way though i know deep inside that the truth is the people who truly love you will accept you the way you are .Sometimes i feel so suffocated and like i want to free myself so much from this box that people have put me in ,i feel like they have put me in a box which is not even me.But i am afraid that if one day when i decide to just be myself these friends of mine might just cut me loose and that means i have totally wasted my efforts and my precious time and then the question arises in my mind whether these people are worth pleasing and keeping as friends or am i just doing self-destruction in the name of humility. What does humility actually mean? This happens to me a lot because i am such a people pleaser ,i do this sometimes even with my competitors hoping that i might be able to change their minds with my attitude but i realized that these are some aspects of human nature that i simply cant change How do i come out of this and stop feeling guilty to just be myself and live my life in the best way i can.

Dear Sophiaji,
Understand, you have been caged by your imaginations, not others. No body else is sacrificing their happiness for your sake.
Have you observed, what kind of people do you like more?
The one who tries to please you always or the one who is natural and has mutual as well as self respect?
So, take a strong a decision that you will always uplift your mind and others by expressing more talents and skills without displaying even traces of arrogance.
People will accept and like you as you are.
Celebrate your life expressing joy and service, not mental slavery.
HariOm!
