Dear respected by all, Kindly forgive my ignorance due to my arrogance. I along with my children( Son in 11th and daughter passed her 12th) follow your daily programme on Asianet at 5.45 am. They are attending the programme out of my compulsion. But once they started they have found it very interesting and we have a discussion after your discourse daily. Today they had a doubt regarding mind (manass). This doubt arose in their mind as you use the term mind or manass for all the four together namely Budhi (intelligence), Manass (will), Chittam (memory) and Ahamkaram (ego). There is one element of manass or mind is also manass (will). The same maybe confusing for many. So my humble request is to specify this or avoid it while speaking. I know this because I have been following you since long but the beginners may get confused. As per you I developed a will to do something during all my leisure. Thus I learned music both vocal and some instruments like flute by listening to idea star singer programme. Musician Mr. Hariharan advised the participants that singing one note maybe “Shadjam Sa” for one hour daily will improve their quality of singing and as I have the basics of karnatic music I practiced as he said. Now I know how to sing, play violin, flute, piano etc. I am basically a metallurgist. I used to think that it is a tough thing to learn but today I know that I do not know what my illiterate neighbour Kollan Ayyappankutty knows and does in metallurgy. But I can impress the ass masses with my information in metallurgy. I realize that practically I am a nil in front my neighbour. Sex and alcohol can numb our memory so we get a temporary relief. Here you confused my children by using manass instead of chittam. You explained how we can numb our memories through Dyanam. Once we can overcome Ahamkara and Chittam, with Budhi we can do everything with WILL (“Cheyyanulla Manass”) and enjoy life having our death, the final examination, in our vision. So our family is gradually gaining the guts to face death without fear. Pranamam Guruji.

Dear Sureshji,
I appreciate you and your family. Please make your Satsang group bigger by adding your friends and families too.
Tell your children that the inner faculty called mind functions in four ways as you said.
Reading or studying Scriptures and applying them in life are different. The first is an intellectual exercise while the second is living spiritually.
HariOm!
