Swamiji, what is meant by ayiliam makham? What is thatwik meaning?
Posted by Beena mohan on September 20, 2012
Dear Beenaji,
It implies seeing divinity in every creation. Snakes are great purifiers of atmosphere from dangerous toxins.
To protect these dangerous but very needed creatures, our ancestors found out a day to worship them and get blessings by giving them food.
Now it is commercialized, instead of respecting the real one, people are accustomed to worshiping the idols.
