Namaskaram. You mentioned in your discourse today that there is no mention of shraddham ritual in our scriptures. This is not right. Even Lord Rama and Krishna performed shraddham. In his conversation with Jambali Lord Rama describes the role of rituals. So can you please clarify. Narayan

Dear Narayanji,
I have never come across any such suggestions given by Krishna to any one, rather Krishna emphasizes that one can uplift only himself.
Read Gita 6th chapter 5th sloka.
In Bhagavatham, Sradham is considered to be a very low level ritual and Bhagavan Vyasa says to read Bhagavatham which is much superior than that ritual.
Refer 5th Canto, 12th chapter, 13th sloka.
