swamiji, In today”s bhagavatham class you were discussing the story of daksha. Siva told sati not to go to the daksha yaga since daksha is a man of ahankara. What right siva has to comment like this? Is it not due to his ahankara,he did not get up when all others got up with respect when daksha entered. If he had got up all the bad events happened later could have been avoided. nandini

Dear Nandini,
the Lord comes in the form of a Guru. The role of a Guru is not to dance to teh tune of a devotee. HIS sole intention is to uplift our mind from all negativities. When ego comes humility goes. God will never tolerate that character (Remember, Krishna killed Kamsa and Rama killed Ravana). That is why, those who work with ego are the most disturbed. When you live with humility, you are respected.
