Hari Om swamiji, Jivatma is a part of paramatma.How did it forget its original destination?instead of turning towards god,how did the jeevatma become under the control of triguna ie,maya?

Dear Sreeveni,
Jeevathma separates from Paramathma because of Maya. Maya in one way hides the Truth and in another way, attracts the mind to the external world. Now you have to transcend this separation.
