Pranam Swamiji, I am a working person,. i have a small issue in my family.I belong to a Nair family and i want to get married to a person who is hindu only but belongs to a different caste. He is educated settled and from a middle class family.I have suffered a lot of tortures both mentally and physically from my relatives and parents to drop this relationship. But i believe in the culture that a person has rather than his caste.I have very clearly told my parents that i cannot mary any other person other than this guy.My parents still keep on asking me , telling me about proposals and things.I am fed up of telling them. The only reason because of which i am staying back for their consent is because, they are pretty old and i want to take care of them. The person whom i want to marry would never stop me from taking care of my parents. He and his family also have suffered a lot of insult because of my parents attittude. But still they never have asked me to disobey my parents. You have seen people with variety of experiences right please guide me how i can solve this problem amicably and how i can make my parents understand that my guy might be low in his caste but not in his culture..

Dear Ashaji,
Look at the culture of the boy, that is most important.
