GREETINGS

I want to know why Lord Brahma married Saraswati Devi.Symbolising the concept I can understand that he accepted the knowledge that she possessed.But the discription in the scriptures really muddles me up.I am a growing Hindu and I havent received any convincing answers so far.The following description confused the very divinity of the action.The following translation is the one: “Satapatha Nrahmana Prajapati. ‘ Wishing to pair with her, he united with her. This was a sin in the eyes of the gods, who thought : ‘He who does this to his own daughter, our sister, commits a sin’. The gods said to Rudra, the god who rules over beasts. ‘This one commits transgression, who does this to his own daughter, our sister. Pierce him.’ Rudra took aim and pierced him. His incompetent seed was shed immediately, prematurely. Therefore the saga has said, ‘ When the father shed his seed in his own daughter, he spilt his seed on the earth as he united with her. This is the chant to Agni and the Maruts, in which it is told how the gods caused the seed to give birth.’ When the anger of the gods subsided, thy cursed Prajapati and they cut Rudra’s arrow as his phallus was streatched out in eagerness for the act of a man, the manly one pulled back. He drove back again from the maiden, his daughter, that tireless phallus which had been thrust in. As they were in the midst of the very act of union, when the father was satisfying his desire for the young girl, the two of them left a little of the out-flowing seed shed upon the back of the earth in the womb of good deeds. When the father shed his seed in hi own daughter, he spilt his seed on earth as he united with her. The god satisfied his lust in his own daughter………”
